Many times it happens that two or more candidates score an equal number of marks in the SBI Clerk Exam. Then the problem arises that which candidate will be given preference in the selection process. So, the following criteria are followed in case of tie-breaking policy:

1. The candidates who belong to the reserved categories like SC, ST, PH, OBC are given preference.
2. If still, the tie prevails then or if the candidates belong to the general category then the candidate with the least number of wrong answers will be preferred.
3. Even then if there is a tie then the older candidates will be given preference.
