Age Limit

The upper age limit for Assistant Professor and Associate Professor is 50 years, while for Additional Professor and Professor it is 58 years as on the cutoff date (18th June 2026). Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms. The maximum age after relaxation for Assistant Professor and Associate Professor is 55 years. No relaxation is available for Additional Professor and Professor posts.

Selection Process

The selection process comprises two stages: Objective Screening (short-listing) followed by an Interview/Personality Test conducted by the Standing Selection Committee. Candidates meeting basic eligibility are first shortlisted. If the number of applicants for a post exceeds ten, further short-listing is done using objective criteria based on academic achievements, research, publications, teaching experience, etc. The top 10 candidates (or multiples for multiple posts) per post are called for interview. Screening scores are used only for short-listing; final selection is based solely on interview performance. The interview process is video recorded.
