Analytical Ability Syllabus

Communication Ability Syllabus

This section has 70 questions assessing command over English in everyday and business contexts, including vocabulary, grammar, business terminology, and reading comprehension.

  • Vocabulary: Commonly used words, synonyms, antonyms, contextual usage.
  • Functional Grammar: Correct application of basic grammar rules in daily and workplace communication.
  • Business and Computer Terminology: Essential terms and expressions; formats for letters, reports, memoranda, agenda, minutes.
  • Reading Comprehension: Four passages followed by questions on main ideas, supporting details, and logical inferences.

Mathematical Ability Syllabus

This section contains 55 questions covering Arithmetical, Algebraical & Geometrical, and Statistical Ability. Most topics are of Class 10-12 level with some higher concepts relevant for management and computer applications.

  • Arithmetical Ability: Indices, ratio & proportion, simple/compound interest, surds, divisibility, LCM/GCD, rational numbers, percentages, profit/loss, partnership, pipes & cisterns, time & distance, time & work, areas & volumes, mensuration, modular arithmetic.
  • Algebraical & Geometrical Ability: Statements & truth tables, implication, converse/inverse, tautologies, sets, relations & functions, equation of straight line, trigonometric ratios & identities, height & distance, polynomials, remainder theorem, linear equations, progressions, binomial theorem, matrices, limits & derivatives, plane geometry (lines, triangles, quadrilaterals, circles), coordinate geometry.
  • Statistical Ability: Frequency distributions, measures of central tendency (mean, median, mode), standard deviation, correlation, simple probability.
