A total of 33 vacancies across 8 trades are open for ITI-passed candidates. The online registration process begins on 18th May 2026 and closes on 1st June 2026. Electronics Mechanic has the highest number of openings (8), followed by Machinist (7) and Turner (6).

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed 10th Class / SSC and hold an ITI certificate (passed) in the relevant trade. The essential qualification is the same for all 8 trades.

Important: Engineering Graduates and Diploma holders are NOT eligible to apply for this ITI Apprenticeship. A separate apprenticeship scheme exists for them.

Age Limit

For General/Unreserved candidates, the age must be not less than 14 years and not more than 30 years as on 01.06.2026.

Application Fee

There is no application fee for BDL Trade Apprenticeship 2026. All candidates can apply free of cost.

Selection Process

Selection for BDL Trade Apprenticeship 2026 is purely merit-based – there is no written exam or interview. The merit list will be prepared trade-wise based on marks obtained in the qualifying examinations.

The merit score is calculated using the formula:

Merit Score = (Total Marks Obtained / Maximum Marks) × 100

Equal weightage (50:50) is given to marks obtained in 10th Class / SSC and ITI while preparing the common merit list for each trade. Separate merit lists will be prepared for each trade. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/CAP/EWS will be applicable as per the Apprentices Act, 1961.

Important Dates

Stipend

Selected candidates will receive a stipend as per the rates prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961 by the Central Apprenticeship Council during the training period. The stipend rates are determined by the Government of India and are subject to revision from time to time.

How to Apply

Candidates must complete both online registration AND send a hard copy by post. Follow these steps:

1. Visit the Apprenticeship India portal at https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in/candidate-registration and register as an apprentice candidate.
2. Search for the establishment - select "Bharat Dynamics Limited, Kanchanbagh, Hyderabad (Reg. No. E05203600393)" under "Establishment Search" in Apprenticeship Opportunities.
3. Fill in your name and date of birth exactly as per your Aadhaar Card, which must also match your 10th/SSC certificate. Correct any discrepancies before the registration deadline.
4. Upload scanned colour copies (clear and legible) of the following documents on the portal: 10th/SSC mark sheet, ITI provisional mark sheet, and Caste Certificate.
5. Complete online registration before 1st June 2026.
6. After completing online registration, send the hard copy of the following by post to reach on or before 8th June 2026:
   • Printout of online registration
   • 10th/SSC mark sheet (hard copy)
   • ITI provisional mark sheet
   • Caste certificate (if applicable)
7. Address the hard copy to: Manager (HR), Apprentice Cell, Bharat Dynamics Limited, Kanchanbagh, Hyderabad – 500058.
8. BDL employees' wards (children/spouse) must submit their application by hand directly to the Apprentice Cell at the same address after completing portal registration.

Note: Applications without an online registration number, and registrations without uploaded 10th/SSC and ITI mark sheets, will NOT be considered. There is no TA/DA for attending any process.

Medical Fitness

Selected candidates must pass a medical examination as per the applicable rules before joining the apprenticeship training. Only medically fit candidates will be permitted to join the training programme.
