GTRE invites applications for Apprentice Trainees under the Apprentices Act, 1961, for a training period of one year. The posts are categorized into Technical Entry (Graduate Engineering, Diploma Engineering, ITI Trades) and Non-Technical Graduate General. The stipend will be as per Government of India norms.

Additional Conditions
- Only Indian Nationals are eligible.
- Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination in the year 2022 or later. Those who passed before 2022 are NOT eligible.
- Only regular candidates are eligible; distance/correspondence mode is not accepted.
- Candidates with higher qualification than prescribed are NOT eligible.
- Candidates with one year or more of training/job experience after attaining essential qualification are NOT eligible.
- Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training under any organization are NOT eligible.

How to Apply
Candidates must attend the walk-in interview on 6th June 2026 (Saturday) at Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE), DRDO, CV Raman Nagar, Bengaluru – 560093. There is no online application form on the GTRE/DRDO website. Prior registration on the respective portal (NATS or NAPS) is mandatory before attending the walk-in interview.
Candidates must report at the venue by 0900 hrs. They must bring the duly filled Registration Form (Annexure I) along with the Undertaking (Annexure II) in the prescribed format and all self-attested documents with original certificates for preliminary verification during the walk-in interview. No accommodation/transport/transport allowance will be provided by GTRE during the selection process or training.

Important Instructions for Candidates
- Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
- Candidates must be registered on NATS (Graduate/Diploma) or NAPS (ITI) portal before attending the walk-in interview.
- Only candidates who have passed the qualifying examination in the year 2022 or later are eligible; those who passed before 2022 are NOT eligible.
- Only candidates who have passed as regular candidates are eligible; candidates who passed through distance or correspondence mode are not eligible.
- Candidates with higher qualifications than the essential qualification prescribed are NOT eligible.
- Candidates with training or job experience of one year or more after attaining the essential qualification are NOT eligible.
- Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training under any organisation are NOT eligible.
- Reservations will be applied as per provisions of The Apprentices Act, 1961; SC/ST/OBC Non-Creamy Layer candidates must produce relevant certificates issued by the Competent Authority.
- PWD candidates are eligible only for designated trades as per Apprenticeship Rules.
- Selected candidates must produce a valid police verification certificate at the time of joining from their place of last residence (for at least past one year) and permanent address.
- Selected candidates must produce a Certificate of Physical Fitness in the prescribed format issued by an authorised Medical Officer of any Government Hospital.
- Marks in the qualifying examination must be mentioned in percentage; candidates with CGPA must convert to percentage as per university/institute norms.
- Selected candidates must be in a position to join on the prescribed date; failure to report by the scheduled date will be treated as disinterest and candidature may be forfeited.
- Selected candidates must execute a contract for one year of training as per The Apprentices Act, 1961.
- Canvassing/influencing in any form shall lead to disqualification.
- This apprenticeship training does not carry any guarantee of employment at GTRE on completion.
- No accommodation/transport/transport allowance will be provided by GTRE during selection or training.
- GTRE reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of vacancies and to withdraw/cancel the advertisement/selection process without assigning any reason.
