DCI Recruitment 2026 – Post Details

DCIL is recruiting for two categories of positions: Fleet Personnel (experienced ranks) and Trainees (TME, TELO, NCV(T)). The trainee vacancies are 45 in total, while fleet personnel vacancies are based on operational requirements. All engagements are purely on a contract basis.

Eligibility Criteria for DCI Recruitment 2026

Educational Qualification

Trainee Marine Engineer (TME): Candidates must possess a 4-year Degree in Marine Engineering from an IMU-affiliated college, DG Shipping approved institute, or AICTE-recognized institution. Graduate Marine Engineering (GME) candidates are also eligible. Those holding or about to obtain MEO Class IV COC are not eligible.

Trainee Electrical Officer (TELO): A 4-year Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication/Communication Engineering, or Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized institute. Additionally, a 4-month Electro Technical Officer (ETO) course from a DG Shipping approved institute and basic STCW 2010 certificates are mandatory.

NCV Trainee (NCV(T)): SSC/10th pass from a recognized board with a Pre-Sea GP Rating course and minimum 60% aggregate marks in the Exit Examination approved by DG Shipping. Age must be less than 25 years as on the date of joining onboard.

Fleet Personnel: Required COC/COP and experience as per the table below.

Age Limit & Relaxation

For NCV Trainee, the maximum age is 25 years as on the date of joining onboard. For other posts, age limits are as per the official notification. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates.

Selection Process

Fleet Personnel

Selection is based solely on interview performance. Minimum qualifying score: 50 marks out of 100.

Trainee Marine Engineer & TELO

Selection is based on a combined score of 100 marks: 80% weightage from qualifying degree marks and 20% from interview. A minimum of 50% in each component is required.

NCV Trainee (NCV(T))

Selection is based on marks only: 50% weightage from SSC/10th marks and 50% from GPR Exit Examination marks. No interview.

  1. Visit the official DCI career page at https://www.dredge-india.com/career and download the prescribed Bio-Data format.
  2. Fill in the form with all required details including post applied, date of birth, qualifications, CDC/Passport/INDOS details, and full experience history.
  3. Attach self-attested photocopies of all necessary certificates (COC, CDC, Passport, INDOS, STCW 2010, mark sheets, caste certificate, etc.).
  4. Send the soft copy of the Bio-Data and documents to career@dredge-india.com on or before 17th June 2026 by 15:00 hours.
  5. Senior fleet ranks (Dredge Master, Chief Officer, Chief Engineer Officer, 2nd Engineer Officer) who cannot attend in person must mention "Request for attending Interview through VC Mode" in the email subject line.
  6. Appear at the walk-in interview venue with original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies on the scheduled date.
  7. Candidates currently onboard (internal floating staff) unable to sign off must attend via VC mode with the Master's recommendation.
