Post Details

ESIC invites applications for the post of Professor (Teaching Faculty – Medical Specialties) on a direct recruitment basis. The total number of vacancies is 118, distributed across 22 specialties. The pay scale is Pay Level-13 (₹1,23,100 – ₹2,15,900) plus allowances. Selected candidates will be posted at ESIC PGIMSRs and ESIC Medical Colleges across India.

Out of the total, 8 posts are reserved for PwBD candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility conditions as of the closing date of applications.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for UR/EWS candidates is 50 years as on 27 July 2026. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC – 3 years, PwBD – 10 years, ESIC/Government servants – up to 5 years. Cumulative relaxation for SC/ST/OBC PwBD as per rules.

Application Fee

The application fee is payable via Demand Draft/Banker’s Cheque in favour of “ESI Fund Account No. 2” payable at Delhi.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on an Interview conducted by the ESIC Selection Board. If the number of applications is large, shortlisting may be done based on teaching experience beyond the minimum requirement. Minimum qualifying marks in interview: UR/EWS – 50, OBC – 45, SC/ST/PwBD – 40 out of 100. Tie-breaking: older candidate preferred; then earlier PG degree; then earlier internship completion. A reserve list may be maintained.
