Candidates must strictly fulfill the qualifications as per UGC Regulations 2018 (and amendments).

Professor

• Ph.D. degree + 10 research publications + Total Research Score of 120 + Minimum 10 years teaching/research experience (with evidence of guiding Ph.D. scholars).

Associate Professor

• Ph.D. degree + Master’s with 55% marks + 8 years teaching/research experience + 7 publications + Research Score of 75.

Assistant Professor

• Master’s degree with 55% marks + NET / SET / Ph.D. as per UGC norms.

Relaxation: 5% relaxation in marks for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

The selection process involves shortlisting of candidates followed by interview and/or presentation. The process will be conducted as per UGC regulations and university guidelines. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Fakir Mohan University Faculty Recruitment 2026 - How to Apply

Candidates must follow the two-step application process (Online + Hard Copy Submission) carefully. Incomplete applications or applications received after the due date will be summarily rejected.

1. Register and Fill Online Application Form: Visit the official recruitment portal at https://himsrecruitment.odisha.gov.in and register using a valid email ID and mobile number. Fill all the required personal, educational, experience, and research details accurately in the online application form. Candidates must ensure that all information provided matches their original documents.
2. Upload Scanned Documents: Upload clear scanned copies of all essential documents including: Matriculation/SSC certificate (proof of date of birth), Master’s Degree marksheets & certificate, Ph.D. Degree & certificates, NET/SET/SLET certificate (if applicable), Experience certificates, Caste / SEBC / PwD certificate (if claiming reservation), Research publications, API / Research Score details (for Professor & Associate Professor), Recent passport-size photograph and signature. All documents must be in the prescribed format and size as mentioned on the portal.
3. Pay Application Fee Online: Pay the non-refundable application fee through the online payment gateway available on the portal: ₹1000/- for General / SEBC candidates, ₹600/- for SC / ST candidates, No fee for PwD candidates. Keep the payment receipt / transaction ID for future reference.
4. Submit Online Application and Take Printout: After successful payment, review the preview of the application form, make corrections if any, and finally submit it. Download and print the completed online application form. Note down the Application / Registration Number generated by the system.
5. Prepare and Send Hard Copy of Application: Take the printout of the duly filled online application form and attach all self-attested supporting documents in proper serial order. Send the complete set through Speed Post / Registered Post only to: The Registrar, Fakir Mohan University, Vyasa Vihar, Balasore – 756089, Odisha. The envelope must be superscribed with “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ________________ (Subject & Post)” along with Advertisement Number.
6. Last Dates & Important Instructions: Last date for submission of Online Application: 7th June 2026. Last date for receipt of Hard Copy with documents: 17th June 2026 (up to 05:00 PM). In-service candidates must route their application through proper channel or submit NOC from their present employer. Candidates are advised to keep a copy of the application and payment receipt for their records. The University will not entertain any request for change of details after final submission.
