FRI Dehradun invites applications for the following project-based positions on a temporary basis. The advertisement number is 5-1/RCS/2026 (Advert.)/ (May).

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following educational qualifications for each post:

• Project Scientist -III: Doctoral Degree in Forestry/ Botany from a recognized university or equivalent. Seven years' experience in research field.
• Research Associate -III: Doctoral Degree in GIS/ Geoinformatics or 3 years research / teaching experience after M.Tech./M.E./M.Sc. in GIS/ Geoinformatics from a recognized university or equivalent.
• Junior Project Fellow (JPF): First class M.Sc. in Forestry/Botany.
• Project Scientist -II: Ph.D. in Forestry(Forest Genetics /Tree Improvement / Forest Biotechnology). Minimum three years research experience in R&D of forest genetics / tree improvement/forest biotechnology.
• Project Associate: M.Sc. in Agriculture (Genetics and Plant Breeding) OR M.Sc. In Forestry (Forest Genetics / Tree Improvement)
• Project Associate: M.Sc. in Botany / Biotechnology.
• Project Associate: M.Sc. in Chemistry / Biochemistry
• Project Assistant (PA): Bachelor's degree in Science (Zoology, Botany, Chemistry).

Age Limit

The age limit for various posts is as follows:

• Project Scientist-III: Maximum 45 years.
• Project Scientist-II: Maximum 40 years.
• Research Associate & Project Associate: Maximum 35 years.
• Junior Project Fellow: Maximum 28 years.
• Age relaxation is applicable by 5 years for SC/ST, Women, PH, and OBC candidates.
