Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a BE/B.Tech or M.Sc Computer Science in notified engineering streams from a recognized university/institution. Final year students whose results will be declared by 01 January 2027 are also eligible to apply.

Note (Final Year Candidates)ALL final year appearing candidates whose final year/final semester exam result will be declared AFTER 01 Jan 2027 are NOT eligible to apply. Final semester studying candidates will be provisionally allowed to appear in SSB subject to their cumulative percentage of marks upto 6th semester/3rd year not being below the approved cut-off percentage.

Selection Process

The selection process includes shortlisting of applications, SSB interview, medical examination, and merit list.

Stage 1 - Shortlisting of Applications

Stage 3 - Medical Examination

Candidates recommended by SSB will undergo Medical Examination. The validity of SSB medical examination is 270 days (SMB to PCTA joining date). Candidates already declared Med FIT in SSB medical of any service within 270 days need not undergo medical examination again. Medical standards as applicable for Officers Entry into Army. Proceedings of Medical Board are confidential.

Stage 4 - Merit List & Joining Letter

Merit list prepared engineering stream/subject wise on the basis of marks obtained at SSB interview. Tie-break 1: Older candidate ranked higher. Tie-break 2: Higher percentage of marks in degree (as per Para 3). Higher educational qualifications, previous performances etc. have no role. Joining Letters issued subject to vacancies and medical fitness.
