Indian Navy 10+2 B.Tech Cadet Entry Scheme January 2027 Overview

This entry scheme is a direct officer entry for candidates who have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). Selected candidates undergo a fully residential four-year B.Tech course at INA Ezhimala, with all costs borne by the Navy. On completion, they are awarded a B.Tech degree by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and commissioned as officers.

Indian Navy 10+2 B.Tech Cadet Entry Scheme 2026 – Vacancy Details

A total of 60 vacancies are announced for Permanent Commission in Technical Branches. Candidates must indicate their preference for Mechanical Engineering or Electronics & Communication Engineering in the online application. Based on merit during training, 07 candidates from Mechanical Engineering will be streamed to B.Tech in Naval Architecture & Shipbuilding at NCW, Kochi.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the date of application. Only unmarried men and women satisfying nationality conditions are eligible. Married candidates or those who marry during training will be discharged and must refund full training costs.

Age Limit

Candidates must be born between 02 July 2007 and 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive). No age relaxation is applicable.

Application Fee

The official notification does not mention any application fee. Candidates are advised to check the official website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in for any updates.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of four stages:

Stage 1: Shortlisting Based on JEE (Main) 2026 CRL

Naval Headquarters will fix a cut-off based on JEE (Main) 2026 All India Common Rank List (CRL). Shortlisted candidates will be called for SSB interview via email/SMS.

Stage 2: SSB Interview

SSB interviews will be held at Bengaluru, Bhopal, Kolkata, or Visakhapatnam from September 2026 onwards. AC 3-tier rail fare is admissible for first-time candidates.

Stage 3: Medical Examination

Candidates recommended by SSB must undergo medical examination. No relaxation in medical standards.

Stage 4: Merit List & Appointment

Final merit list based on SSB marks and medical fitness. Appointment subject to police verification and vacancy availability.

Training Details

Selected candidates undergo a four-year B.Tech course at INA Ezhimala in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or Naval Architecture & Shipbuilding (for 07 meritorious cadets). Degree awarded by JNU. All training costs borne by Navy.

2. Fill in the online application form with personal, educational, and JEE (Main) 2026 details.
3. Upload scanned copies of required documents (10th/12th marksheets, JEE scorecard, passport photo, etc.) in JPG/TIFF format.
4. Submit the application and take a printout for future reference.
