Post Details

The recruitment is for the post of SSC Officer in the Executive Branch (Information Technology Cadre) for the Jan 27 Course. The initial rank upon completion of training is Sub Lieutenant. The training will commence in January 2027 at INA, Ezhimala. The service is a Short Service Commission for 10 years, extendable up to 14 years.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility conditions as of the closing date (01 June 2026):

• Nationality: Unmarried Indian citizens (Men & Women) are eligible.
• Educational Qualification: Minimum 60% marks in English in Class X or XII. Qualifying degree options:
  • Option 1: MSc / BE / B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Software Systems, Cyber Security, System Administration & Networking, Computer Systems & Networking, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, or equivalent – with minimum 60% overall marks.
  • Option 2: MCA with BCA / BSc (Computer Science / Information Technology) – with minimum 60% overall marks.
• NCC Relaxation: NCC 'C' Certificate holders (Naval/Army/Air Wing) with minimum 'B' Grade, served for not less than 2 academic years in Senior Division, and certificate not dated prior to 01 Jan 2024 – will get 5% relaxation in cut-off marks for SSB shortlisting.

Age Limit

Candidates must be born between 01 January 2002 and 01 July 2007 (both dates inclusive). No category-wise age relaxation is applicable for this entry.
