Additional condition for candidates in regular Government/PSU employment: Must have minimum 2 years' experience in the next lower pay scale or equivalent (as per Table-III in the notification - IDA/CDA/PSB pay equivalence chart). Candidates from private sector companies must belong to organizations with a minimum annual turnover of Rs. 500 Crores.

Selection Process
The selection for all posts is based on Personal Interview (PI) only. There is no written examination. Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the information provided in the online application. If the number of applications is large, OIL may raise the minimum eligibility standards to restrict the number of candidates called for PI. Provisionally selected candidates must pass a Pre-Employment Medical Examination (PEME) before final appointment.

Candidates must apply online only through the OIL website. No other mode of application will be accepted. Printouts of online applications should NOT be sent to OIL by post or hand.
Step I – Sign Up / Registration: Visit https://www.oil-india.com/advertisement-list and click on "Advertisement for Recruitment of Officers in Grade D/E/F in OIL." Select the post, fill in personal details, valid email ID and mobile number. Complete OTP authentication. Note down the Application Number and password received on registered email/mobile.
Step II – Complete Application Form: Fill in Basic Details, Address, Qualification Details, Eligibility Details, Experience Details. Upload photo, signature and scanned certificates. Click "Submit" to finalize.
Documents to be Uploaded Online:
- Recent passport size colour photograph (jpg/jpeg/PNG format, not older than 3 weeks)
- Signature on white paper with black ink pen (jpg/jpeg/PNG format)
- Birth Certificate or Matriculation/10th Admit Card/Pass Certificate/Marksheet showing date of birth - no other document accepted for age proof
- Degree/Diploma certificates and mark sheets for all academic years (or provisional certificate if degree not yet issued)
- Experience Letter/Service Certificate from each employer on official letterhead (with name, designation, dates of joining and relieving)
- Separate document from each employer explicitly detailing roles and responsibilities performed
- Any two supporting documents per employment from the prescribed list: last pay slip, annual increment letter, promotion/transfer order, PF statement, or offer/appointment letter (for past employment); or identity card, increment letter, promotion/transfer order, PF statement (for current employment)
- Caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL) in Government of India prescribed format, if applicable
- Valid NCL certificate for OBC candidates, if applicable
- Valid EWS Income & Assets Certificate in Government of India format, if applicable
- Valid Disability Certificate (min. 40% disability) for PwBD candidates, if applicable
- Valid Discharge Book/Service and Release Certificate for Ex-Servicemen, if applicable
- Domicile Certificate (J&K, 1980–1989) for age relaxation claim, if applicable
- CGPA/Grade to percentage conversion certificate from university/institute, if marks are in CGPA/Grade format
