The recruitment is for the post of Civil Judge (Junior Division) in the Odisha Judicial Service, 2025. The pay scale is Rs. 77,840 – 1,36,520 per month, along with dearness and other allowances as sanctioned by the Government of Odisha. The selected candidates will serve under the Law Department, Government of Odisha, and will be responsible for adjudicating civil and criminal cases at the district level.

Other Requirements
Candidates must be citizens of India, of good character and sound health, free from organic defect and physical infirmity. They must be able to speak, read and write Odia fluently. Candidates with more than one spouse living are not eligible unless exempted by the State Government. SC/ST/SEBC reservation and relaxation benefits are admissible only to the SC/ST/SEBC of Odisha by birth.
Age Limit
Candidates must be not below 23 years and not above 42 years of age as on 1st April 2025 (i.e., born not earlier than 2nd April 1983 and not later than 1st April 2002). Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms.

Application Fee
The application fee must be paid online through the OPSC portal. Fee is non-refundable but will be refunded to candidates who actually appear in the Preliminary Written Examination.

The selection process consists of three successive stages:
Stage 1 – Preliminary Written Examination

Stage 3 – Interview
The interview carries 100 marks. Candidates shortlisted from the Main Written Examination (up to 3 times the number of vacancies) will be called for the interview. Minimum qualifying marks in the interview is 40%.

- Click on the "Apply Online" link for Civil Judge (Junior Division) Recruitment 2026.
- Register yourself by providing basic details like name, email, and mobile number. A unique Permanent Public Service Account Number (PPSAN) will be generated.
- Log in using your credentials and fill in the online application form with accurate personal, educational, and experience details.
- Upload scanned copies of your latest passport-size photograph, signature, and left-hand thumb impression (LTI) as per the specifications.
- Pay the application fee online (if applicable) using credit card, debit card, UPI, net banking, or wallet.
- Review the application carefully before final submission. Once submitted, take a printout of the application form and keep it safe for future reference.
- If any modification is required, cancel the application and re-apply within the last date (08-06-2026). No changes are allowed after submission.
Documents to be uploaded at the time of application and produced during document verification include: HSC certificate (age proof), LLB degree and mark sheets, Odia language certificate (if applicable), caste certificate (for SC/ST/SEBC), advocate practice certificate, disability certificate (for PwBD), ex-serviceman release certificate (if applicable), NOC (for government servants), character certificate, recent passport-size photographs, identity proof, and transgender certificate (if applicable). All certificates must be dated on or before 08-06-2026.
Important Instructions
- Only online applications will be accepted; no offline mode is available.
- Applications without fee payment (for non-exempt categories) will be rejected.
- SC/ST/SEBC candidates must belong to Odisha by birth to claim reservation.
- SEBC candidates must submit a Non-Creamy Layer certificate not more than 3 years old.
- Community status once filled cannot be changed later.
- PwBD candidates must upload a permanent disability certificate (minimum 40% disability).
- Government servants must obtain NOC in advance.
- Women candidates must submit caste certificates showing "daughter of…" – certificates by marriage are not acceptable.
- Any complaint regarding the examination must be emailed to the Grievance Wing within 7 days of the exam.
- Forged documents will lead to debarment from OPSC exams for 3 years.
- Mobile phones and electronic gadgets are banned inside exam premises.
