A total of 6 vacancies have been announced for the post of Line Superintendent (Group-C) under the Electricity Department, Punjab. These are distributed across General, SC (Mazhabi & Balmiki), and SC (Ramdasia & Others) categories with reservation for women within each category.

The selection process consists of an Objective Type MCQ Written Examination (Part A + Part B) followed by Document Verification / Counselling. Final merit list is prepared on the basis of Part-B marks only.

Written Examination Structure

• Merit List will be prepared based on Part-B marks only.
• Candidates whose names appear in the Merit List will be called for Document Verification / Counselling.
• Number of candidates called for counselling will be decided by the Board category-wise.
• Appearing in examination, being in merit list, or being called for counselling does not confer any right of recommendation — candidature is confirmed only after eligibility is fully established.

Applications must be submitted online only through the SSSB Punjab portal https://sssb.punjab.gov.in. Applications submitted by any other mode (post, in person, etc.) will not be accepted and will be rejected.

New users must first register on the portal to generate a User ID and password, then log in and complete the online application. Once the application form is submitted, no changes/corrections can be made under any circumstances.

Candidates who applied under Advt. No. 08/2023 must register afresh, generate a new User ID, and verify their previously submitted Application Number and Date of Birth during the process.
