Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Minimum Qualification: A Bachelor’s Degree from a university recognized by the Central or State Legislature, or a deemed university under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Rajasthan Government.
• Important: Candidates who do not possess the required qualification (educational, experience, age) as on the last date must withdraw their application. Furnishing false details is punishable under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (BNS) Section 217.

Service Experience (For Departmental Candidates)

• For State Services reserved for non-gazetted Rajasthan State Government employees: Minimum 5 years of service (officiating or substantive) as on January 1, 2027.

Age Limit

General Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 40 years as on January 1, 2027. For Rajasthan Government departmental candidates: minimum 25 years and maximum 45 years.

Application Fee

Fee is payable online via the RPSC website. Candidates from other states claiming reserved categories will be treated as General and must pay the General fee.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on the following stages:

1. Preliminary Examination: Objective type, one paper on General Knowledge & General Science (200 marks, 3 hours). Marks not counted for final merit. Mode: Online/Offline.
2. Main Examination: Descriptive/analytical, four papers (each 200 marks, 3 hours). Candidates qualifying prelims (15 times vacancies) are eligible.

3. Personality and Viva-voce: 100 marks. Candidates securing minimum qualifying marks in Main Examination are called. Preference for NCC 'C' Certificate holders for Rajasthan Police Service.
4. Minimum Qualifying Marks (Main): 10% in each paper and 15% aggregate. SC/ST candidates get 5% relaxation.
