Post Details

SAIL invites applications for Young Professionals in three grades: YP-1, YP-2, and YP-3. The positions are spread across Projects Division, Works Division, and Materials Management Division. The tenure is initially for 3 years, extendable up to a maximum of 5 years. The monthly retainership ranges from Rs. 70,000 to Rs. 1,40,000 depending on the grade.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following criteria as on the closing date (6 June 2026):

• Educational Qualification: Full-time regular B.E./B.Tech in relevant discipline from a government-recognized university/institution with minimum 65% marks. Higher qualifications like M.E./M.Tech or Ph.D. are desirable for many posts.
• Experience: Minimum post-qualification experience in executive cadre in a steel plant/process industry/manufacturing industry. Experience varies by grade: 3 years for YP-1, 6 years for YP-2, and 10 years for YP-3.
• Age Limit: Minimum 23 years; maximum 35 years for YP-1, 38 years for YP-2, and 42 years for YP-3.

Selection Process

The selection process comprises the following stages:
