Under this recruitment drive, SBI aims to provide apprenticeship training to enhance the skills of young graduates across various states and union territories.

Post Details

The recruitment is for the post of Apprentice with a total of 7,150 vacancies. The apprenticeship is for a duration of one year, and selected candidates will be posted in SBI branches or offices across India based on their chosen state/UT.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government as on 08-06-2026.

Local Language Proficiency

Applicants must be proficient in the specified local language (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) of the state/UT applied for. Candidates who have studied the local language in 10th or 12th may be exempted from the language test.

Nationality

Must be an Indian citizen.

Age Limit

As on 08-06-2026, the age limit is 20 to 28 years. Candidates must have been born between 09-06-1998 and 08-06-2006 (both days inclusive).

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
• PwBD (UR): 10 years
• PwBD (OBC): 13 years
• PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years
• Ex-Servicemen: As per Govt norms

Selection Process

Exam Pattern

• Mode: Online Objective Type
• Total Questions: 100
• Total Marks: 100
• Duration: 60 minutes (15 minutes per section)
• Negative Marking: 1/4th mark deducted for each wrong answer

Stipend

Selected apprentices will receive a stipend of Rs. 15,000 per month for the one-year training period. No other allowances (DA, HRA, etc.) are applicable.
