The SHSB Medical Officer-Dental Recruitment 2026 invites applications for the post of Medical Officer-Dental on a contractual basis. The selected candidates will be posted at various health facilities across Bihar.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must possess a BDS or MDS degree from a recognized university or institution. Additionally, they must be registered with the National Dental Commission (NDC), Dental Council of India (DCI), or Bihar Dental Council (BDC), Patna. Foreign degree holders are required to have passed the FDST exam.
Age Limit
The minimum age for applicants is 21 years, and the maximum is 37 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms: Unreserved/EWS (Male) up to 37 years; Backward Class/EBC (Male & Female) up to 40 years; Unreserved/EWS (Female) up to 40 years; SC/ST (Male & Female) up to 42 years. Additional relaxation: PwD candidates get +10 years, and departmental NHM employees get +5 years.

There is no application fee for any category (General/OBC, SC/ST, etc.) for this recruitment.
Selection Process
The selection process includes Document Verification, an Interview (carrying 50 marks), and a Merit List prepared based on Qualification (25 marks) and Interview performance.
