Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as per the Apprentices Act, 1961 and the provisions of this notification. Mandatory registration and eKYC update on the NAPS portal (https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) must be completed before applying on the SMC website.

Age Limit

Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years and must not exceed 34 years of age. Age relaxation will be as per Government of India / Government of Gujarat guidelines for reserved category candidates.

Selection Process

Stage 1 – Online Application and NAPS Registration

Candidates must first complete registration and eKYC update on the NAPS portal (https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) and then apply online on the SMC recruitment portal. Only candidates with a 100% completed NAPS profile with eKYC updated are eligible to apply on the SMC website.

Stage 2 – Document Verification

Shortlisted candidates will be intimated about the document verification date via their registered mobile number and email ID. Candidates must appear with the original application form and all original documents along with self-attested copies. Candidates absent for document verification will have their candidature cancelled. Any discrepancy found between the application and original documents at any stage will result in cancellation of candidature.

Stage 3 – Contract Generation and Joining

On successful verification, the Apprenticeship contract will be generated on the Government website. The apprenticeship period will be as per the contract generated. On completion of the apprenticeship period, candidates will be immediately discharged. If a candidate leaves the apprenticeship before completion, the contract will be terminated.
