Eligibility & Qualification
Educational Qualification
- Master's Degree in Library and Information Science (M.Lib or M.Sc Library Science) from a recognized university/institute.
- Full-time regular course only; distance or part-time education is not accepted.
Caste Eligibility
- Exclusively for SC (Scheduled Caste) and ST (Scheduled Tribe) candidates only.
- General and OBC candidates are not eligible.
- Valid SC/ST caste certificate from a competent authority is mandatory.
Age Limit
- Maximum age: 30 years as on 26th February 2026 (date of walk-in test).
- No age relaxation for any category.
Ineligibility Conditions
- Candidates who have previously completed training in any Spices Board office.
- Candidates exceeding 30 years of age or not belonging to SC/ST category.
Documents Required for Walk-in
- Filled Application Form (Annexure I) downloaded from the official website.
- Original and self-attested photocopies of: Proof of Identity, Age, Educational Certificates, and SC/ST Caste Certificate.
- Recent passport-size photographs (2-3 copies).
Selection Process
- Walk-in test/interview on 26th February 2026 at ICRI, Idukki.
- On-the-spot registration and document verification.
- Merit-based selection; a panel valid for two years may be prepared.
