Prelims Exam Pattern (Objective Type – Screening)

Total Questions: 100 | Total Marks: 200 | Duration: 90 minutes | Each correct answer: 2 marks

Note: Prelims is qualifying in nature. Only marks of qualified candidates are considered for shortlisting to Mains.

Paper I: English (150 Marks)

• Correct use of words, correction of sentences, idioms & phrases, synonyms, antonyms, grammar usage

Paper II: Bengali / Hindi / Urdu / Nepali / Santali (150 Marks)

• Translation from English to the chosen language

• Grammar and usage at Higher Secondary (10+2) standard

Paper III: General Studies and Arithmetic (150 Marks)
