Paper I: English (150 Marks)

  • Translation from Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali/Santali to English

  • Correct use of words, correction of sentences, idioms & phrases, synonyms, antonyms, grammar usage

Paper II: Bengali / Hindi / Urdu / Nepali / Santali (150 Marks)

  • Drafting of a report from given points or materials
  • Translation from English to the chosen language
  • Precis / Summary writing
  • Grammar and usage at Higher Secondary (10+2) standard

Paper III: General Studies and Arithmetic (150 Marks)

  • General Studies: Deeper and more analytical questions than Prelims on History, Geography, Polity, Economy, Science, Current Affairs, and West Bengal-specific topics.
  • Arithmetic: Same standard as Prelims but descriptive/problem-solving format.
