Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

• Chief Engineer (Transmission): Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology with total 15 years’ experience in the power sector. Out of which, at least 5 years in power transmission in selection posts like Executive Engineer & above, including 1 year as Superintending Engineer OR 3 years as Superintending Engineer.
• Superintending Engineer (Transmission): Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology with total 12 years’ experience in the power sector. Out of which, at least 5 years in power transmission as Executive Engineer & Additional Executive Engineer OR 2 years as Executive Engineer.

Age Limit

• Chief Engineer (Transmission): Maximum 50 years (Relaxation: Reserved Category – 55 years, Departmental Candidates – 57 years)
• Superintending Engineer (Transmission): Maximum 50 years (Relaxation: Reserved Category – 55 years, Departmental Candidates – 57 years)
