Syllabus for Tamil Language Eligibility Test:
According to the Tamil Nadu Government Syllabus, questions will be asked from Tamil texts taught up to the tenth grade. The curriculum is organized into three portions.
பகுதி – I
- இலக்கணம்
எழுத்து இலக்கணம், சொல் இலக்கணம், பொது இலக்கணம், பொருள் இலக்கணம், யாப்பு இலக்கணம், அணி இலக்கணம், மொழித்திறன், பிரித்து எழுதுதல், சேர்த்து எழுதுதல். எதிர்ச்சொல்லை எழுதுதல், பொருந்தாச்சொல்லை கண்டறிதல், பிழைத் திருத்தம், ஆங்கில சொல்லுக்கு நேரான தமிழ் சொல்லை அறிதல் மற்றும் இது சம்மந்தப்பட்ட தலைப்புகள்
- இலக்கியம் திருக்குறள், தொல்காப்பியம், கம்பராமாயணம். எட்டுத்தொகை. பத்துப்பாட்டு, ஐம்பெருங்காப்பியங்கள் ஐஞ்சிறுகாப்பியங்கள். அறநூல்கள், பக்தி இலக்கியங்கள். சிற்றிலக்கியங்கள். நாட்டுப்புற இலக்கியங்கள், புதுக்கவிதை மொழிப்பெயர்ப்பு நூல்கள் ஆகியவை தொடர்பான செய்திகள், மேற்கோள்கள், சிறப்புப் பெயர்கள், தொடரை நிரப்புதல் மற்றும் இது சம்மந்தப்பட்ட தலைப்புகள்

முதன்மை எழுத்துத் தேர்வு :
பகுதி (அ) – பொது அறிவு
தமிழ்நாடு அரசு பாடத்திட்டத்தின் படி 10 ம் வகுப்பு வரை கற்பிக்கப்படும் பாட நூல்களிலிருந்து வினாக்கள் கேட்கப்படும் கீழ்வரும் பாடங்களிலிருந்து வினாக்கள் கேட்கப்படும்.

பகுதி – ஆ உளவியல் (Psychology)
- தொடர்பு தொடர்புகொள் திறன் (Communication Skills): தமிழ் மொழியை சிறப்பாக கையாளும் திறன் பற்றி சோதிக்கப்படும்.
- எண் பகுப்பாய்வு (Numerical Analysis): எண்ணியல் திறன் தொடர்பாக பதில் அளித்தல் பற்றி சோதிக்கப்படும்.
- தருக்க பகுப்பாய்பு (Logical Analysis): கொடுக்கப்பட்ட கேள்வியில் உள்ள தகவலின் பல்வேறு பரிணாமங்களை கண்டறிய தருக்க ரீதியாக பகுப்பாய்வு செய்தல்.
- அறிவாற்றல் திறன் (Mental Ability): இந்த சோதனையானது, தூண்டல் அல்லது விலக்கு பகுத்தறிவு மூலம் முடிவுகளை எப்படி எடுக்கப்படுகிறது என்ற விண்ணப்பதாரர்களின் திறன் சோதிக்கப்படும்.
- தகவல்களை கையாளும் திறன் (Information Handling Skills): கொடுக்கப்பட்ட தகவலுக்கு. அந்த தகவலின் பல்வேறு அம்சங்கள். அனுமானங்கள் மற்றும் இணைக்கப்பட்ட உண்மைகள் பற்றி சோதிக்கப்படும்.
